The Karosta Manege was built from 1903 to 1904. It had a lightweight tin roof with a riveted metal construction. In order to provide the large space with enough light, the building was originally designed with arched windows and glass tiles incorporated into the roof.
Before World War One the Manege was used for physical training exercises of sailors. The facility, which could accommodate more than 4000 people, was used for official receptions and honorary dinners for garrison sailors.
Though time has not spared this building and only the walls of the Manege are left, the former grandeur of the building can still be felt.
