By joining the association “City Destinations Alliance” Liepāja City Municipality has embarked on a trail of efforts to promote Liepāja as an excellent destination for leisure, living, investment and business activities in Europe.
Becoming a member of the City Destinations Alliance will contribute to the publicity of Liepāja in Europe, potentially increasing the number of tourists in the city and the expected tourism business turnover, whilst also attracting investors and entrepreneurs to Liepāja as a potential location for their business development.
The organisation provides a network for the exchange of knowledge, experience and research between countries, cities and regions, bringing urban management, marketing and tourism professionals from all over Europe together. The City Destinations Alliance includes major European cities such as London, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Budapest, Dresden, Dublin, Hamburg, Helsinki, Luxembourg, Milan, Oslo, Paris, Prague, Rome, Warsaw, Zurich, etc.
Representatives of the City of Liepāja will have the opportunity to attend conferences, focus groups, exhibitions, networking and exchange events organised by the Association.
Liepāja City Municipality has signed a one-year membership until 31 December 2023.
