From 3 to 7 February, two European regional qualification tournaments will take place in Liepāja, where the Latvian national team and teams from 13 other countries will compete for qualification spots for the final tournament of the 2026 Men’s Floorball World Championship.

The Latvian national team will play at the Liepāja Olympic Centre in the EUR1 tournament, Group B. Their direct opponents will be Slovenia, Hungary, and Ukraine, while Group A will feature Switzerland, Norway, Great Britain, and the Netherlands. The winners of both groups, as well as the team that prevails in the final-day match between the second-placed teams, will qualify for the final tournament, which will take place in Tampere at the end of this year.

In the EUR2 tournament, the national teams of Czechia, Estonia, Italy, Germany, Spain, and Belgium will compete at the Liepāja Olympic Centre arena. The three strongest teams will qualify for the final tournament in Tampere.

The daily ticket price for adults is EUR 10 (+ service fee), for persons under the age of 16, EUR 3 (+ service fee). For persons under the age of 7, admission is free, provided no separate seat is occupied.

Daily tickets are valid for entry to all matches at both venues – the Liepāja Olympic Centre and the Liepāja Olympic Centre arena.

Latvian national team head coach Heiki Lūkonens has included two goalkeepers and eighteen field players in the squad. Ten players compete in foreign clubs, while ten represent teams from the ELVI Floorball League. The largest representation comes from the top-league clubs Kocēni “Rubene” and “Masters Ulbroka/LU”, with three players each. Two players represent “Talsu NSS/Krauzers”, while one player each comes from Cēsis “Lekrings” and “FBK Valmiera”. Of the ten players competing abroad, four play in Finland, while two each represent clubs in Switzerland, Sweden, and Czechia.
