According to data from the Central Statistical Bureau, compiled from 41 accommodation providers, a total of 45,085 guests were served in Liepāja’s accommodation establishments in the 3rd quarter of 2025, which is 2.7% more than in the same period last year. The number of overnight stays increased by 0.12%, reaching 81,646 nights in total. The average length of stay in Liepāja’s accommodations was 1.81 nights, which is 0.05 nights shorter than during the same period last year.

The average bed occupancy in Liepāja’s accommodation establishments in the 3rd quarter was 46.6%, while room occupancy reached 52.7%. The highest occupancy was recorded in August, with 62.9% of rooms and 56.5% of beds occupied.

In the 3rd quarter of this year, Liepāja’s accommodation establishments hosted 23,150 domestic travellers, who stayed for an average of 1.7 nights. A total of 21,935 foreign guests stayed in Liepāja — an increase of 5.7% compared to the same quarter last year. The number of nights spent by foreign guests increased by 6.4%, indicating that the average length of stay grew to 1.93 nights.

Visitors from 79 countries stayed in Liepāja during the 3rd quarter. The most frequent foreign guests were Lithuanians (9,329 visitors, +0.5%). Germany (3,856; +18.9%) and Estonia (1,392; +2.7%) also maintained their strong positions. The Top 10 also included: Finland (852; +25.5%), Poland (851; +19.4%), United Kingdom (695; +64.7%), USA (551; +32.8%), Denmark (402; –10.3%), France (383; –20.7%), and the Netherlands (373; –4.4%).

The Liepāja Region Tourism Information Office served 9,385 visitors during the 3rd quarter. Of these, 23% were locals, 16% domestic travellers, and 61% foreign guests. During the summer, the most frequent visitors to the tourism office came from Lithuania, Germany, Poland, France, Spain, and the Netherlands.
