On July 12, the Sea Festival will take over Liepāja’s Seaside Park, beach, promenade, and beyond, offering a full day of music, creativity, and seaside magic. Visitors are invited to immerse themselves in a rich program of live performances, workshops, sea-themed activities, an art exhibition, and a lively boat parade.
The day begins at 11:00 AM with a memorial at the Monument to Fallen Sailors and Fishermen, featuring musical tributes by Everita Pjata-Gertnere and Normunds Kalniņš. From noon, actors Edgars Pujāts and Armands Kaušelis will guide audiences through musical performances by children’s pop group “STARI,” the Liepāja Puppet Theatre, Karīna Tatarinova and Jānis Narkevics, X-Factor winner Emilija, and popular rapper Fiņķis.
The evening features dynamic concerts by Triānas Parks (7:00 PM), the energetic Dziļi Violets (8:30 PM), and the soulful Mazais Princis (10:00 PM).
Throughout the day, families can enjoy creative and educational activities, magical encounters with international artists, and explore the sea through hands-on experiences. On the beach, visitors can help create a sand map of Liepāja and join in sea-related events.
Art lovers can enjoy an open-air painting exhibition by Aivars Kleins, while more than 150 artisans and vendors will offer handmade goods, food, drinks, clothing, and more at the market.
Highlights also include rowing competitions at 1:00 PM in the Trade Canal and the traditional ship and boat parade “Across the City – from Lake to Sea” at 5:00 PM.
