Restaurant Bel Cibo Pizza Napoletana is officially recognized and certified by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN) as the first and only authentic Pizza Napoletana pizzeria in Latvia.
AVPN, founded in Naples in June 1984, is the world’s most prestigious organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the traditions of Vera Pizza Napoletana (true Neapolitan pizza).
On August 2, 2022, Bel Cibo Pizza Napoletana was added to the association’s official register with certification number 960, meaning that, at the time, there were only 960 AVPN-certified pizzerias worldwide. This recognition confirms full compliance with the highest standards of quality and authenticity — from the dough recipe and ingredients to the baking technique in a Manna Forni Napoli wood-fired oven, as required by ancient Neapolitan traditions.
In February 2025, Bel Cibo Pizza Napoletana was also included in the prestigious L’Arcimboldo guide, one of the most important gastronomic publications in Italy. The restaurant’s pizzaiolo and instructor, Kaspars Šupiņš, received the highest possible rating in the guide: 3 out of 3 — confirming his mastery, precision, and authentic approach to Neapolitan pizza.
