The Forest Trail is a long distance hiking route, part of E11, in the Baltic States that leads through the most forested lands, regional, nature and national parks of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, ending in Tallinn. The route can be completed in either direction.

Total length of the route: ~ 2140 km, including 747 km in Lithuania, 674 km in Latvia, 720 km in Estonia.

In Latvia most of the route lies along forest paths and trails, about a third on gravel country roads. Only a very small part of the trail outside the big cities, leads along paved roads. The Forest Trail in Latvia is split into 50 sections, which are also referred to as individual routes.

The area around Liepāja is crossed by sections No. 87-91 of the route Lithuania-Latvian Border – Gramzda – Priekule – Kalvene – Aizpute – Kazdanga.
