Terms and Conditions for the Survey on Leisure and Cultural Experiences in Liepāja and the “Win a Vacation in Liepāja!” Prize Draw
1. Organisers of the Survey and Prize Draw
The Survey on Leisure and Cultural Experiences in Liepāja (hereinafter “the Survey”) and the “Win a Vacation in Liepāja!” Prize Draw (hereinafter “the Prize Draw”) are jointly organised by “Liepāja Region Tourism Information Office” Ltd. (hereinafter “LRTIO”) and the Foundation “Liepāja 2027” (hereinafter “Liepāja 2027”).
2. Participation in the Survey
2.1. Participation in the Survey is voluntary and free of charge.
2.2. The purpose of the Survey is to gather information about the travel habits and interests of visitors to Liepāja.
2.3. The Survey shall be open from 1 April 2026 to 31 December 2026.
2.4. In order to be eligible for the prize draw, participants must complete the Survey questionnaire in full.
3. Registration for the Prize Draw
3.1. By providing their e-mail address within the Survey, participants are automatically registered for the prize draw.
3.2. The Survey may be completed once per overnight visit to Liepāja. Participants who make a subsequent visit are entitled to complete the Survey again.
4. Selection of Winners
4.1. Prize draws shall take place on 1 July 2026, 1 October 2026 and 4 January 2027.
4.2. All participants who have submitted a fully completed Survey questionnaire by 30 June 2026 shall be eligible for the draw on 1 July 2026. All participants who have submitted a fully completed Survey questionnaire by 30 September 2026 shall be eligible for the draw on 1 October 2026. All participants who have submitted a fully completed Survey questionnaire by 31 January 2027 shall be eligible for the draw on 4 January 2027.
4.3. In each draw, one winner shall be selected at random by means of computer software.
5. Prizes
5.1. The following prizes shall be awarded:
Draw on 1 July 2026 – a Liepāja gift card to the value of €100;
Draw on 1 October 2026 – a Liepāja gift card to the value of €100;
Draw on 4 January 2027 – a short-break gift package in Liepāja, comprising an overnight stay for two persons at a Liepāja accommodation establishment, dinner for two at a Liepāja restaurant, and a two-hour guided walking tour of Liepāja’s Old Town.
5.2. Prizes may not be exchanged for cash or any other equivalent.
6. Notification of Winners
6.1. Each prize draw winner shall be notified by e-mail sent to the address provided in the Survey.
6.2. The Organisers accept no liability for any consequences arising from a participant having provided incorrect or incomplete contact details.
6.3. Prizes must be claimed within six (6) months of the date on which the winner notification e-mail was dispatched.
7. Protection of Personal Data
7.1. The e-mail addresses of Survey participants shall be used solely for the purposes specified in the Survey, namely:
– to notify a participant in the event that they are selected as a prize draw winner; and
– to send newsletters concerning the latest developments relating to Liepāja – European Capital of Culture, where the participant has indicated such a preference in the Survey questionnaire.
7.2. Where a participant has indicated a wish to take part in the Prize draw, their personal data shall be retained until the conclusion of the Prize draw.
7.3. Where a participant has indicated a wish to receive newsletters about Liepāja – European Capital of Culture, their personal data shall be retained until they withdraw their consent or until 31 December 2028, whichever is the earlier. Consent may be withdrawn at any time. Withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of any data processing carried out prior to such withdrawal.
8. Exclusions from Participation
The following persons are not eligible to participate in the Prize draw:
8.1. employees and representatives of LRTIO and Liepāja 2027, together with their family members and first-degree relatives;
8.2. employees of Liepāja accommodation establishments involved in the distribution of the Survey, together with their family members.
9. General Provisions
The Organisers retain the right to cancel or amend these Terms and Conditions in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
