The roots of the “Kalniņkalni” farm stretch back as far as to 1925, when the grandfather of the family bought 18 hectares of land from the Bebe estate in order to start his own agricultural activity. Today, the “Kalniņkalni” farm is cultivating 1200 hectares of land – growing cereals and rapeseed.
We also have our own meat processing facility where we produce homemade sausages, various meats smoked on wood and meat deli products. We bake our own bread from cereals grown and milled on our farm at the Vērgale bakery.
The pastry chefs at the “Kalniņkalni” use classic, proven and favourite pastry recipes. In our patisserie, we use only the best and highest quality raw materials – seasonal fruits, natural whipped cream and other airy creams for every taste.
Pies, cakes, scones, pretzels, various sweet and salty buns – we bake everything right here on spot in the “Ganību māja” store. Every store visitor will feel the tempting aroma of freshly baked pastry immediately upon entering the doors. You will even sneak peek over the counter and see our hardworking and smiling pastry fairies converting their creative ideas into reality so that the wishes of each client turn into delicious cakes and pretzels.
